I qualified as a solicitor in 1987, with Moore & Blatch in Southampton. I spent five years with them (including two as an articled clerk) and then moved to Lester Aldridge in Bournemouth in 1990.
At that time I had general experience in commercial law, including banking, lending and security, corporate finance and commercial property as well as insolvency. At Lester Aldridge I soon came to focus on the insolvency work. I was appointed a partner, and then head of the insolvency department.
In 2001 I was one of two equity partners who opened the Southampton office, and then continued to develop the team from there.I moved to Coffin Mew in Southampton in 2007, where I had the opportunity to build a team from nothing. I handed it over in 2015, after building it to five full-time professional members. In my time there we opened a second, successful office in London and were twice nominated for the Insolvency and Rescue Awards.
